Hopefully I keep up!

Update

Lately, I have not tried very hard to create meaningful poetry. I'm going to try to increase my efforts towards composing more zappai in the future. And hopefully, I can try to spread the awareness of the poetry form of zappai, and try to differentiate the concept of zappai from the more formal style of haiku, particularly in the western world.

Series of Zappai Poetry

Detached from Venus
Saturn reigns over dusk skies
from a passing rock

Maelstrom of malice
from a real lack of control
of carnal pleasures

Pacing back and forth
I rush through without a care
To an erupt end

Series of Zappai Poetry

A beacon of hope
Signals the coming rainfall
To wash away sin

Repulse from disgust,
I withdraw from the grotesque
to a pleasant scene

Hard working at night,
The hot wax begins to melt
as the point wears down

Composed Zappai

Concerning Issues
Influence their perspectives
with clouded judgment

Floating in dark space
Eeriness agrees with me
Distant lights flicker

Fighting against time
his calm fury will not yield
to his own limits

Drizzling outside
I feel full of energy
to express my thoughts

Stillness in my mind
causes my heart to waver
Hesitation Binds

Haiku Heights Day 23 A2Z Prompt

Tsunami

Waterless beaches,
the ocean pulls back its waves
'till the great Wall comes

Haiku Heights Day 20 A2Z Prompt

Roseamary

Pleasant Aromas
Fill the air with dancing scents
That tickle my nose

In response to the prompt offered by Haiku Heights

Composed Zappai

Combing through the wake,
I discover what I've lost
I firmly take grasp

Silkly smooth textures
begins to soothe my coarse view
To a kinder world

Ticking and Tocking
The same eb and flow of Time
Washes us ashore

Tranquil winds lift me
to a peaceful atmosphere
so I can relax

As the calm sets in,
the peaceful days continue
and keeps our hearts still

Sipping and Watching,
teacups match my demeanor
with pomp elegance

Triumphant trumpets
call for the glaring fanfare
to unite them All

National Poetry Month - April 2013

Celebrating National Poetry Month

To recognize National Poetry Month, I will be posting more Zappai and maybe some other type of poems as well.

Winding up the Clock
Time begins to start again
Movement starts anew

Damp, this season is
There is a constant drizzle
to keep me cooled off

Finally, its here!
Welcome new beginnings
The sound of conflict

Holding all unseen,
The Wind's embrace bind feelings
that hold people back

The darkening sky
gives birth to a living night
I awake to it

A skirmish about,
The carnage of utter noise
deafens my mind's thoughts
